This photoshoot has made me realise how time consuming a photoshoot really is, I hadn't predicted that I would need so much time to take the pictures, but now I know that I need to allow a certain amount of time to style the outfits, make sure the setting and lighting is perfect and everything is okay, all these aspects are rather time consuming during the photoshoot and all contribute to how long the photoshoot takes. Having used girls who don't have any experience 'modelling' it obviously also takes them a bit more time to get used to the idea of modelling and to warm up, but once everything was in place, taking the pictures became alot more easier, and the girls were much more comfortable. At this point in time, I've edited some of the photos, but not all of them, I still need to edit more, and along the way I may even find myself changing the way they are edited. Tomorrow I plan on spending some time to finish editing the photos using an online website called www.picnik.com. Overall I'm really happy with the way things went today, and I'm relieved to have begun taking photos, this way I have more of an idea of how things are going to work for the remainder of the pictures that I take.
My First Photoshoot- 27th February
Today I did my first photoshoot and I couldn't have been happier with the way things went, I would have liked if I had more time to take more photos because some of them were rushed because we were on a time restriction because one of the models had to be somewhere and also I would've liked if I had brought along maybe some more clothing, but overall I'm really happy with the outcome. I started of by taking some solo pictures of the first model, Sian whilst we wanted for the other model, Sunny, to arrive. The pictures of sian were just taken in her backyard against a white wall and whilst sitting on her balcony rail. I next moved on by taking the photos with an 'african' theme, with one of the models wearing a cheetah print skirt and the other a cheetah print top and then I moved on to taking some solo pictures of one of the models in a white dress with floral heels and white socks, and from there I took pictures of the two girls in dressy casual dresses with daisy chains amongst tall grass and a pond and then we moved on to take some pictures in more casual clothes amongst some grass and trees, Here are a few of the pictures which I have edited so far from the shoot (the quality of the pictures has been severly reduced below but when the actual pictures are presented in the book they will be of full quality):
