Next, I took some individual photos of both the girls. I styled Alesha in an orange bodice and black maxi skirt . I really love the way these pictures of Alesha turned out, because at this point she was comfortable with the camera so she was doing some really good poses, but also because there was a bit of wind at this time, which caused her skirt to fly in the wind which looked really good in the pictures. Whilst I was taking the pictures of Alesha, it gave Meya a chance to change into her next oufit, she was styled in a white sheer top with her black bikini top and black shorts, I think the white looked really good amongst the ocean backdrop. Here are some of the raw, unedited files of Alesha and Meya for their individual shots:
After we took those photos, we decided it would be best to leave that area of the beach, as we had enough pictures there. We found an area that had concrete tunnels, and I really loved the look of it, and thought it would work great for the pictures! This area of the beach, just proved what I said in one of my previous posts (Idea: The Beach!) that you could find really interesting surrounding areas at the beach, and this one was perfect. I loved how there was a 'grungy' look to this location, and that there was more than one tunnel, so I could have Alesha and Meya in their own tunnels, which I thought would've been a great effect for the pictures. I styled both the girls in dresses, because I wanted the contrast between the edginess of the location and the clothes, it was kind of like a 'pretty and punk' theme, in simplest form. Here are some raw unedited parts of this aspect of the shoot:
After we finished at the 'tunnels', we decided to do a location/outfit change, I found a brick wall close by, and I really liked the texture and appearance of it, and thought it would look great as a backdrop for some pictures. I styled Alesha in a strapless bikini top and a long leopard print skirt, I loved the look of the long skirts during this shoot, because with the wind blowing, it looked really effective in the pictures. I styled Meya in white lace bodysuit and shorts, which I felt really suited the beach theme. There were lots of logs around, which came as a perfect prop for the photos, so we used them to our advantage! Here is some of these photos:
Next we took to the 'rock pools' nearby, and the girls changed into some swimwear so they could get into the water! The colouring of the water was beautiful and photographed great. I styled the girls in matching pink tones to compliment each other :)
After these pictures, we went into the park and took some fun pictures in there, and then went down onto the beach and took some in the water, I'm not sure if I really liked those photos though and probably wont use them towards my book, but I will make my final decision once I edit them.
Tomorrow or sometime during the week I plan on beginning the editing of the pictures so I can start deciding which ones I will use towards my book!
I had so much fun during this shoot, and I think the pictures turned out great, can't wait to start editing!
